Why I’m Wearing Pink This Month:

I wear pink in October to raise awareness for breast cancer, and to show solidarity with others affected by this disease.

The Most Notable Part of the Community of Breast Cancer Survivors and Those Undergoing Treatment:

For me, the most notable part of the breast cancer community is the connectedness I experience with those affected by and suffering from this disease. I think social media has been a great place for support and gaining knowledge from other survivors, doctors, and organizations. I have met so many other survivors on social channels and find there is so much to learn from each other.

  • My Message to Those Currently Battling Breast Cancer:

I see you, I understand you, I am you. It is easy to become overwhelmed. It is important to take it step by step and day by day to stay in the present moment. Be your own advocate.

What I Want More People to Know About Breast Cancer:

I want people to know that every breast cancer diagnosis and treatment is different because there are many types of breast cancer.

Breast Cancer is no longer an older women’s disease as young women are getting it. Preventative health care is very important.

Breast Cancer found early doesn’t have to be a death sentence or a lifelong journey. That’s why Breast Cancer Awareness Month is so important.

  • How I’d Describe My Style:

I have stayed true to my style, which has always been classic with an edge.

What I’m Most Excited to Wear This Fall:

I can't wait to wear fall’s most sumptuous fabrics like cashmere and velvet.

    My Greatest Style Inspiration:

My greatest style inspirations have always been the strong women in my family, like my mother and my Italian aunts. There’s alsoJackie O and Ali McGraw, to whom I often have been compared.

The Key Investment Pieces Everyone Needs in Their Closet:

I love a blazer, a good coat and scarf, lots of white or men’s-style shirting, the perfect jean, the perfect black pant, a beautiful bag, a good boot, and a cashmere sweater.
