  • Giving back to our communities—what we call local and loyal—is part of our brand ethos at J.McLaughlin. Throughout the year, our stores participate in over 1,650 events in partnership with over 900 local, trusted charitable organizations and non-profits, supporting causes close to our customers’ hearts, and to ours. Below, an inside look at some of our events from across the country.

  • Penny’s Flight

  • In loving memory of Penny Doerge, we hosted events on November 21st, 2024 across 52 stores, with 15% of sales from all sales benefiting Penny’s Flight Foundation. Penny’s Flight’s mission is to make much-needed advances in medical research on Neurofibromatosis and related disorders, with a lasting impact on changing the course of the disease.

  • Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center x Tyler & Susan

    Boston

    Darien, CT

  • This past May, we were joined by hosts Susan and Tyler Boston for an in-store event to support Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 15% of proceeds from our Darien event benefited rare sarcoma research in memory of Morgan Boston.

  • The Everglades Foundation

    Florida

  • We consider Florida our second home, with 28 stores across the Sunshine State (and growing). For the seventh consecutive year, we partnered with The Everglades Foundation on an exclusive Everglades Collection, with 15% of proceeds going back to The Everglades Foundation which leads efforts to restore and protect the Everglades Ecosystem through science, advocacy, and education. Additionally, we partner on dedicated events in select stores throughout Florida and mark Everglades Day each April in support of The Everglades Foundation.

  • Play for P.I.N.K.

    New York City

  • In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we partnered with Play for P.I.N.K. on an exclusive capsule where 15% of proceeds for each item sold was donated back to support their mission to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. Throughout the year, we partner with Play for P.I.N.K. on various events in our stores—like Think Pink Saturday on October 19th—as well as pop-ups at Play for P.I.N.K. dedicated events across the country.

    In addition, we held a special event in our Madison Avenue, NYC store this past October to benefit Play for P.I.N.K, hosted by Julia Descoteaux, Meghan Klopp, Beth Ledy, Alison Marsal, Joyce Mykoniatis, Stephania Quartararo, and Adolphine Sheeley, with a special appearance by breast cancer activist Ann Caruso.
